Tokyo International University is pleased to announce that the International Festival 2026 will be held once again this year.
This annual campus festival is planned and operated by students, and serves as a bridge between the university and the local community. It’s an opportunity for visitors to experience the vibrant, multicultural atmosphere of TIU while discovering the diverse talents and cultures represented on campus.
Enjoy a wide variety of attractions, including stage performances, international food stalls, cultural exhibitions, and more— all prepared with passion by our students. We warmly invite everyone to join us and share in this unique celebration of global culture and student creativity.

History of our school festival
Tokyo International University was founded in 1965 as the International University of Commerce. Taking its name from the Kasumigaseki district, the university’s festival has been affectionately known as the “Shūka Festival” and has been held for 51 years.
International exchange has been a vibrant part of our university since its founding, and we currently have international students from more than 100 countries and regions studying here. For Japanese students as well, the campus has become an environment that feels like studying abroad while still in Japan.
In recognition of the international exchange taking place on campus, we changed the name to “International Festival” in 2018, and this year marks the 9th edition of the festival. Come see the ever-evolving “International Festival.”

Exhibition of seminar presentations and club results announcements. A workshop where you can experience the traditional culture and performing arts of various countries.
Eat and compare soul food from around the world. International students will showcase their home country's specialties.
This is a plan planned and managed by the school festival executive committee. We will prepare a fun project separate from other participating groups.
As one of our stage events, we invite unique guests every year.
