Memories of My Summer Vacation 🌻🌻

Hello! My name is Yuuun Ihara, and I am a first-year student in the Department of International Media Studies, Faculty of International Relations.

Today, I would like to talk about what I did during my summer vacation.

My best memory of this summer was going back to my hometown, Nagano. I usually live near my university, so when I returned to Nagano after a long time, I felt relaxed and comfortable. At home, I spent time with my family, eating meals together and talking with them. I really enjoyed spending time with my family, which was different from my usual university life. Since I started living away from my family, I realized once again how important those simple moments with my family are.

I also met some of my friends from junior high school and high school while I was back home. Many of them were friends I had not seen for a long time, but when we met and talked, it felt like nothing had changed. I had a great time talking with them just like we used to. We talked about memories from junior high school and high school, as well as our recent university lives. It made me realize how quickly time passes. I had a wonderful and meaningful time catching up with friends I normally cannot see often and having meals together.

Since entering university, I have been spending every day surrounded by new friends and a new environment. However, spending time with my old friends and family again after a long time made me realize how important the connections I have had for many years are. I was able to relax and refresh myself in Nagano, so I want to do my best again in my university life and in the activities of the school festival committee!

I think we will become busier as we get closer to the school festival, but all of the staff will continue to work hard to make it an enjoyable event for everyone who comes. We hope you are looking forward to it! 🌻
