One Day of Summer Vacation

I’m Saori Fukutome.

It has already been six months since I became a university student, and I have gradually

gotten used to many things. I have had a lot of free time during summer vacation, but I have

been enjoying my days. In this blog, I would like to introduce a day when I went to a pool

with my friends from high school near the end of summer vacation.

On Wednesday, August 26, I went to the pool at Yomiuriland with my friends from high

school.

The three of us had a hectic morning because we even got on the wrong train, but we

managed to arrive safely before noon. Although it was after the Obon holiday period, there

were more than twice as many people as I expected, so it was very crowded. After finding an

available space and setting up our tent, I couldn’t wait to jump into the pool because the

weather was still very hot.

After taking a break in the lazy river, we decided to try the straight water slide. I spent a long

time preparing myself mentally so that I wouldn’t swallow any water, but the slide was faster

than I expected, and I ended up swallowing a lot of water

As it got closer to evening, the temperature went down, and the breeze became very

pleasant. Music started playing, and a show also began. We bought some food and watched

the show while resting in our tent. It was also really fun to get together again after a long

time and talk about relationships, university life, and other things. The food also tasted even

better because we had used up so much energy.

This trip made me feel once again that summer really means going to the pool. I would like

to go again with my friends!

Summer vacation is coming to an end, and the new semester is about to begin. I want to do

my best in both my studies and the university festival!
