My Kpop experience in Japan

Hi everyone!

I am here to share my amazing hobby and experience to personally meet my idol in real life

Firstly, I really love Kpop! I was introduced to the Kpop world for the first time by my older sister at 10 years old. As time goes by, I become more and more interested in Kpop songs. What makes me attracted to Kpop is mainly the genre of songs which are mostly fun and bright with energetic lyrics.

For the past 5 years, I have been liking a Kpop group called ATEEZ! The first time I discovered them was from a performance video that they did during trainee years. Stage presence was the only thing that made me fall in love with them at first sight. Especially the member named Choi Jongho (Jongho). He is the youngest member in the group and the main vocal representative of ATEEZ. To describe his personality, I would say he is a bright person  covered by gentle and quiet image.

I had so many chances to meet him in person for the past 3 years. When I came to Japan, I had no expectations to be able to see ATEEZ concerts since I never had chances to see their performance in my own country, Indonesia. However, as time went by, I found myself attending ATEEZ concerts every time they came here.

This year, in February, I went to their “Towards the Light: Will to Power”tour in Saitama. I came with my friends that I met in different places, some that I know from concerts, mini-events, and university.

2 weeks after the concert, I went to a Fan-sign and Hi-Touch event to meet my favorite member, Jongho. Actually, it is not my first time having to meet Jongho since I had several fansigns in 2023. However, it was 6 months apart from the last time I met him, I felt very nervous!

But in the end, I had a really good time talking and joking with him. He gave me motivational words as I asked him for advice. He is such a heartwarming person, hope to see him again anytime soon.
