Festival Executive Committee (58th Term) Finally Begins!

Hello to everyone reading the Tokyo International University Festival Executive Committee staff blog—it’s been a while!
I’m Yu-ki Nakamura, a senior in the Department of English Communication, School of Language Communication. I also had the pleasure of being involved in the 56th term (2024), and I am honored to serve as the Chair of the 58th term (2026) this year.
Our goal this year is welcome even more visitors than last year and to create a university festival that is even more vibrant, exciting, and full of energy. The Tokyo International University festival is an event not only for our students but also for members of the local community and high school students. We aim to make it an event where everyone can have a great time—something that makes people say, “I’m glad I came” and “I want to come again.” With this vision in mind, the entire committee is working hard in preparation.
To achieve this, we are focusing not only on enhancing the content of our events but also on strengthening our publicity and design efforts. We believe that how we communicate the festival is just as important as the event itself. Through social media, posters, and promotional visuals, we plan to share the atmosphere and excitement of the festival with a wider audience.
Personally, I have always enjoyed creating designs such as posters and social media visuals. I hope to make use of this experience in promoting the festival, and I have already worked on several visual projects. I believe that design is not just about making things look good—it plays an important role in visually conveying the message and atmosphere of an event.
This time, I would like to introduce one of the posters I previously created.

When designing this poster, I focused especially on making sure that the appeal of the event could be understood at a glance. I carefully considered details such as color schemes, layout, typography, and the balance of photos and graphics. I also placed great importance on creating a strong visual impact that conveys the fun, excitement, and lively atmosphere of a university festival.

Going forward, we will continue to share updates on event plans and preparations through our staff blog and social media, so please be sure to check them out! We will gradually release more information about the festival, so we hope you’re looking forward to it.
We will do our very best to make this year’s Tokyo International University festival a memorable and wonderful experience for everyone.
Once again, thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing you at this year’s festival!
