My Hometown!!

Hello everyone, my name is Seisho Komai, a first-year student at INDOOR. I belong to the Faculty of Human Sociology (Kawagoe Campus). After much deliberation about what to write about, I realized that I have a strong love for my hometown, so this time I'm going to write about my hometown.

My hometown is Hakui in Ishikawa Prefecture! Located in the southern part of the Noto Peninsula, Hakui has a rich natural landscape that is very appealing. This time, I will carefully select two of Hakui's attractions and introduce them to you, so I hope you will take the time to look around.

The first is the Senrihama Nagisa Driveway! This is the only beach in Japan where you can drive a car. You must have thought, “No way! You must have thought I was lying, but it's true. It's a dream come true to drive along the beach with your girlfriend or friends, isn't it? I will try my best to get a driver's license.

※Of course, I highly recommend swimming in the ocean.

The last stop is Cosmo Isle Hakui! Actually, it's a museum, but it's also a U.S. NGO.

In fact, while this is a museum, it is a cooperative facility with the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). That's why the spaceships, planetary fragments, and moon rocks on display are all “real” and not replicas! This is something that will make you sit up and take notice.

The reason why such an amazing facility is located in the Noto countryside is because Hakui is a town where there have always been reports of sightings of unidentified flying objects, so much so that one in four of the city's residents has seen one. In the city's history books, it has been passed down since the Edo period as the “Souchibon legend. And today, Hakui continues to carry on that history. The city of Hakui is promoting itself as the “town of UFOs. By the way, I have never seen any UFOs.

These are the local attractions I have personally selected! There are many more attractions in Noto, including Hakui.

If you are interested, please feel free to ask me! Thank you for watching until the end.
