My summer Vacations🌻

Hello everyone! My name is Yumo Ihara, and I’m a first-year student in the Department of International Media Studies, Faculty of International Relations.

Today, I’d like to share some of my summer vacation memories!

One of the best parts of my summer vacation was going back to my hometown, Nagano. Since I usually live near my university, it felt really nice and relaxing to be back home after a long time. I spent time with my family, having meals together and talking about different things. I really enjoyed having this kind of time with them, which is different from my usual university life. Since I started living away from home, I have realized once again how precious these everyday moments with my family are.

While I was in Nagano, I also got to meet my friends from middle school and high school. I hadn’t seen many of them for a long time, but when we met and started talking, it felt just like old times. We talked about our memories from middle and high school and our recent university lives. I realized how quickly time has passed. It was really nice to catch up with friends I don’t usually get to see and have meals together. I had a really great time with them.

Since entering university, I have been spending my days surrounded by new friends and a new environment. However, spending time with my family and old friends during my visit to Nagano reminded me how important the connections I have had for a long time are. I was able to relax and refresh myself in Nagano, so I’m ready to enjoy university life and work hard as a member of the school festival committee!

As we get busier preparing for the school festival, all of the staff will continue working hard to make it an enjoyable event for everyone. We hope you’re looking forward to it!
